Just clean with normal soap and water. I use premium vinyl which has high initial costs, but are the industry standards for high quality materials. Also made in the USA. - Dragon Wrap™ Carbon Fiber Films (3D Carbon) is a 5.6 mil calendered vinyl film featuring a clear repositionable permanent acrylic adhesive on an air-egress liner. This film has excellent dimensional stability, outstanding durability and outdoor performance. - This repositionable permanent adhesive offers minimal initial bond growing to permanent bonds that facilitates application of large graphics. The air egress liner also aids in large graphic application. - Minimum application temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit. - Up to 5 year durability outdoors. Rated EXCELLENT for WATER RESISTANCE, HUMIDITY RESISTANCE, and SOLVENT RESISTANCE.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eINSTALLATION\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eClean the surface of the trim.  Make sure it is free of any residue including Armor All or other protectants.  Since this is a large piece, we do recommend doing a wet install with \u003ca href=\"products\/stickerfab-installation-fluid-bottle-50ml\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eStickerFab Application Fluid\u003c\/a\u003e.  If you need a microfiber cloth, felt tip squeegee and application fluid, check out this kit \u003ca href=\"\/products\/stickerfab-essential-vinyl-installation-pack-w-chemical-guys-microfiber-universal\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ehere\u003c\/a\u003e.  You can spray both the application area and the back of the vinyl.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe ideal install temperature is 75 degrees.  Get in your vehicle and make sure the trim piece and vinyl are that temperature.  Use your AC or heat to achieve it.  Since these are very thin vinyls you want to make sure it is not excessively hot in your vehicle!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eDo not install with the sun blazing on your dash!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNOTE: \u003c\/strong\u003e Initial placement of the vinyl will dictate if you have even coverage.  Make sure you are able to center the vinyl.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWe recommend aligning the back first and then working your way towards yourself.  Once you are done with the main hood, you can apply the front piece.  It isn't nearly as large so you can opt to do this install dry.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIf you have to use light heat and pressure on the corners, go ahead.  That is how you activate the adhesive on this vinyl.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe DIY install will leave you proud of the work you've done.
