Whistle B Gone Kit
Fitted a VA STI-style spoiler to your 2022+ WRX and hear a whistle at speed? This kit makes it disappear.
Where the Whistle Comes FromVA STI-style spoilers were never designed for the VB WRX chassis. When you bolt one on, the mount angle and the three molded lines that run along the bottom of the center span disrupt airflow — and that turbulence turns into an annoying whistle at highway speed. The Whistle B Gone Kit blocks those lines to create a smooth air bridge across the center span, so the air flows clean and the noise is gone. |

Watch the InstallThe full install runs about five minutes. Ideal conditions are in the shade, between 75–85°F, with no wind. It can be done on the vehicle with a second set of hands, but it's easier off the car. You'll need: a wax-free quick detailer and microfiber for cleaning the surface. Everything else — vinyl/PPF, application fluid, squeegee, and the two Gortex patches — comes in the kit. |
⚙️ Installation Steps
1. Clean the bottom surface of the spoiler with a wax-free quick detailer. See the second photo for the target application area.
2. Spray the supplied application fluid generously across the entire application area on the bottom of the spoiler — don't be shy with it.
3. As you peel the vinyl off the backing paper, spray it too. This keeps it from bunching up on itself.
4. The vinyl spans all three lines under the spoiler. Center it up so the slit in the middle spans two of the lines, then use the felt end of the squeegee to push out air and fluid.
5. Place the two Gortex patches over the exposed lines. The slit and patches let trapped fluid dry and evaporate while giving all three lines 100% coverage.
